“Midori’s Flying Fish” was created by APCC (Asia Pacific Children Convention) in Fukuoka as a part of 25th anniversary project.  APCC would like to convey “ OMOIYARI” sprits to many people, especially children who bear next generation through this film. Their purpose of this project is to foster children who can respect different culture and work on international exchange.

In Fukuoka, in 1995, a high school girl whose name was Midori lived with her father Hiroshi. He was a writer of picture book, but he hadn’t been able to draw pictures since his wife’s death.  One day, he got married. Her name was Linlin and she was a Chinese. Midori couldn’t accept her new mother’s personality and cultural difference.  For his daughter and new wife, Hiroshi started to draw a picture book again and the book connected people to people over times.
