On 13th of March, “2011 Japan Day” the annual Japanese festival was hosted by the Japanese Society of Auckland and the Consulate-General of Japan. This event attracted together 27,000 visitors. At the beginning of the opening ceremony, participants offered a silent prayer for the victims of Tohoku District Earthquake. Also, the Japanese Society of Auckland raised money for the victims of the tragedy and donation was made to the Red Cross. |
