To Commemorate the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relationship between NZ and Japan, Certificates of Commendation from the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan were presented to three organizations.
New Zealand Japan Society of Auckland Mr. Sephen Duxfield, Chairman	In recognition of its distinguished service and contribution in promoting friendly relations and mutual understanding between Japan and New Zealand.
Japanese Society of Auckland Mr. Masayoshi Sekikawa, Chairman	In recognition of its distinguished service and contribution in promoting friendly relations and mutual understanding between Japan and New Zealand.
The Japan New Zealand Business Council Mr. Brian Martin, Chairman	In recognition of its distinguished service and contribution in promoting the economic and trade relationship between Japan and New Zealand.
