Kizuna (Bond) Project Reporting Session

Project Title Youth-Exchange Project with Asia - Oceania and North America (Kizina (Bond) Project)
Project Overview

Kizuna (Bond) Project is a youth exchange project initiated by the government of Japan aiming at promoting global understanding of Japan’s revival efforts in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, which occurred on March 11, 2011.  The word Kizuna means “bond”.  The project will invite more than 10,000 youths from 41 countries and regions to Japan, and send approximately 2,500 youths from Japan to those countries to enhance the Kizuna between young generations.

Objective of the Dispatching programme The overall objective of the project is to promote understanding in ASEAN Member States, Australia, New Zealand, and India on the current situation in the affected areas and in Japan, dissemination of information to prevent harmful rumours, and understanding on the recovery effort of Japan in progress thorough various kinds of exchanges.
