This year’s ‘Taste of Japan’ was extra special as it has spread out for six months showcasing Japanese culture, giving people the opportunity to experience Japanese culture through workshops, demonstrations and performances.

This year's 'Taste of Japan’ was not limited to one day festival but it was a concept to share Japanese culture with the people of New Zealand helping to promote goodwill and understanding between the people of New Zealand and Japan.

The Auckland Art Gallery has shown a series of ‘Ukiyoe’ from May for six months. The exhibition was accompanied by a variety of Japanese cultural workshops, demonstrations and performances to add value to the exhibition. These monthly programmes gave the visitors a chance to enjoy different aspects of Japanese culture each month.
