Maiko Tomitae and Tomitsuyu came with their Okamisan Reiko Tomimori from Ochaya Tomikiku in Kyoto’s Gion Higashi district for a performance of traditional Japanese arts.
It was an opportunity for the audience to further their understanding of Japanese culture and enjoy a beautiful performance as the Maiko explained about Kyoto’s Hanamachi and Kyo kotoba, held a Q&A session and played traditional Japanese games with the audience, in addition to playing the Koto and performing traditional Japanese dances.
