2019 JET Programme Returnees Welcome Back Reception
2019/12/11
On Wednesday 27th November a reception was held to welcome back JET Programme participants who returned from Japan in 2019.
After a welcome from Consul General Kikuchi, a representative of the newly returned JET participants, expressed her appreciation for the JET Programme and gave her impression of her experience in Japan.
The reception was an opportunity for returning JET participants to build their network of contacts as it was also attended by representatives of the CLAIR Sydney Office, the JET alumni association, and interviewers for the JET Programme. It was also an opportunity to once again recognize the contribution that the JET Programme makes to further mutual understanding between Japan and New Zealand.
Japan is currently in the spotlight with the major international sports events of the Rugby World Cup this year and the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics next year so it is hoped that the experiences of the JET programme participants will contribute to furthering the positive relationship between our two nations.
