2020 JET Programme Pre-Departure Orientation and Farewell Reception

On 26 November, a pre-departure orientation and farewell reception was held at Parnell Trust to farewell 15 JET Programme participants heading off to Japan.
At the reception Consul General Hamada offered the participants some words of encouragement, expressing his hopes for their future activities, as JET programme participnats have an important role to play in the strengthening of positive relations between Japan and New Zealand.
After completing an online orientation in Japan while undergoing quarantine, the JET Programme participants will travel to schools and local government offices around Japan to start work as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) or Coordinators for International Relations (CIRs).
