JET Programme Returnees Reception

On Thursday 25 March a reception was held to welcome back JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Programme participants who returned from Japan in 2020.
Consul General Hamada made a speech welcoming back the returnees and the newly returned JET participants shared their experiences of working as ALTs (Assistant Language Teacher) at schools in various regions of Japan and expressed their appreciation for the JET Programme.
The reception was also attended by members of the JET alumni association and interviewers for the JET Programme and it was an opportunity to once again recognize the contribution that the JET Programme makes to promote mutual understanding between Japan and New Zealand.
