Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland visited Botany Downs Primary School ( Six classes - class1: 29 students Year 3, class2: 28 students Year 3, class3: 28 students Year 3, class4: 28 students Year 4, class5: 28 students Year 4, class6: 29 students Year 4 ) on 10th & 15th & 16th August.

All students enjoyed the DVDs about Japanese culture and School life in Japan. Then they discussed the similarities and differences of school life in New Zealand and Japan.  Also they had a great fun with the following workshops.

1, Japanese food with surprisingly realistic food replicas and how to use chopstiks.
2, How to wear Yukata (Japanese traditional summer kimono) and Happi and Geta (Japanese traditional footwear). Plus enjoy wearing traditional Japanese masks.
