Meeting between Consul General Matsui and Auckland Japanese Society President Kano (June 28, 2023)

On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, Consul General Matsui exchanged views with President Kano and Vice President Hashimoto of the Japanese Society of Auckland.
The Japanese Society of Auckland, established in December 1989, is a friendship organization for Japanese residents in the Auckland area (635 members as of August 29, 2021).
President Kano gave newly appointed Consul General Matsui an overview of the association's activities, including Japan Day (one of the largest Japanese cultural festivals in New Zealand) and seminars.
Consul General Matsui stated that in cooperation with the Japanese Association of Auckland, our office will continue to contribute to the development of Japanese residents in the region while cooperating in inclusive efforts in whatever ways we can.
