On Wednesday 7 August 2019, Consulate-General of Japan visited Diocesan School for Girls (26 students, Year7).
We talked about the difference between Kimono and Yukata (Japanese casual summer kimono) and they learnt how to wear Yukata. They were especially enthusiastic when they got the chance to try on beautiful and colorful yukata.

This topic (Yukata dressing) is one of popular topics for many schools in the Auckland region. We always look forward to meeting students with an interest in Japan and its culture.
