Matamata Christian School

On Tuesay 14 March 2017, consulate staff visited Matamata Christian School (20 students, Years 7&8 combined) which is situated in a beautiful rural town, Matamata.
The students enjoyed a DVD about Japan. Then they discussed the similarities and differences of New Zealand and Japan. They also enjoyed looking at Japanese food replicas, the real-as-life models that restaurants in Japan use for their window displays.
The students also had great fun learning how to wear Yukata (summer casual kimono) and Happi coat.
