Paengaroa School (Bay of Plenty)

On Wednesday 21 September 2016, consulate Staff visited Paengaroa School ( Two classes - total 29 students, Year 5&6) which is situated in in the beautiful Western Bay of Plenty.  All students enjoyed learning about Japane and school life in Japan through DVDs. Then, they freely expressed their opinions about the similarities and differences of primary school life in New Zealand and Japan.  Also they had great fun learning about Japanese food with surprisingly realistic food replicas.

We were so impressed by the warm welcome we received by the principal and teachers and students. It was so great to see a wonderful performance related to Japanese culture by students. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality and we hope see you all again sometime in near future!
