On 19 March, a reception was held at the Consul General’s Residence to bid farewell to Mr. Magnus WILLIAMS, who is set to embark on his graduate studies in Japan as a MEXT university-recommended scholarship student. The event also served as a valuable gathering for members of the NZMSAA (New Zealand MEXT Alumni Association) of Auckland, fostering stronger connections among past, present, and future MEXT scholars.
During the reception, Mr. Williams enthusiastically shared his aspirations and excitement for his upcoming academic journey and cultural experience in Japan. In response, Consul General MATSUI and representatives from the NZMSAA congratulated his election and offered warm words of encouragement. They conveyed their hopes that Mr. Williams will fully embrace this significant opportunity, gain profound experiences, and successfully apply them to his future endeavors as a bridge between our two countries.
