On 20 August, “Japan Roadshow 2026,” a tourism promotion event organised by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Sydney, was held in Auckland, where Consul General Minoya delivered remarks.
Consul General Minoya noted that one of Japan’s attractions is that “the more you visit, the more you discover.” He highlighted Japan’s rich natural beauty, traditional and contemporary culture, and the diverse food culture found across its regions, and expressed his hope that more people from New Zealand would visit Japan.
The event brought together tourism-related participants from both Japan and New Zealand, including Japanese travel companies, accommodation providers, local governments, destination management organisations (DMOs) and transport operators, as well as New Zealand travel companies. Business meetings and networking were held to promote the development and sale of travel products to Japan.
