Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force Training Squadron visit to Auckland

The Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force Training Squadron visited Auckland from 3 September to 7 September.
While in port the Training Squadron hosted and participated in a range of activities including an open day on board destroyer ‘Inazuma’, a joint performance with the Royal New Zealand Navy Band and other free events for the public, a reception on board training vessel ‘Kashima’, laying a floral tribute at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, and sports exchanges (practice games with local Kendo and Aikido clubs).
