New Zealand Schools Japanese Trivia Championships
2020/12/14
On Friday, 6 November the New Zealand Schools Japanese Trivia Championships were held by the New Zealand Association of Japanese Language Teachers (NZAJLT) with the support of the Japan Foundation. The event was held simultaneously at eight locations across New Zealand, and took the form of a quiz on Japanese culture and general knowledge for high school students.
The venue for the Auckland region was Epsom Girls Grammar School, where Consul General Hamada made a speech encouraging the students and presented the winning teams with their prizes.
The quiz was a great opportunity for the students to show off their knowledge of Japan across a wide range of subjects including sports, food, daily life, and pop culture and to increase their motivation to continue to study the Japanese language.
