Taste of Japan 2021 "Kizuna"

On July 27, Taste of Japan 2021 ‘Kizuna’ was held at LIFE Central by the New Zealand Japan Society (NZJS) and was attended by Consul General Hamada.
 
At the opening ceremony there were speeches from Consul General Hamada and NZJS President Sonia Yoshioka Braid, a Japanese drumming performance and a cake to celebrate the New Zealand Japan Society’s Sixtieth Anniversary.
 
Among the day’s events were Japanese drumming, koto, shamisen, chorus and children’s dance performances, virtual tours showcasing videos and music from various Japanese regions as well as tea ceremony demonstrations, Japanese tea tasting and Japanese calligraphy.
 
The event was an excellent opportunity for visitors to further their knowledge of japan through a wide range of cultural activities.
