JSANZ Tertiary Japanese Language Speech Contest Award Ceremony (16 November 2021)

On 16 November, the online prize-giving ceremony was held for the Japanese Studies Aotearoa New Zealand (JSANZ) Tertiary Japanese Language Speech Contest.
The contest is open to all university students in New Zealand and was held for the 8th time this year. This year’s prize winners were Joyce Wang of the University of Auckland (1st), Andrea Sevilla of IPU (2nd), and Samuel Takuya Hanada of Ara Institute (3rd).
At the ceremony Consul General Hamada praised the winners for their interest in studying Japanese and their efforts in winning the contest and thanked JSANZ and the teachers who support these students in their Japanese study. The winners each received a domestic travel voucher from the sponsor of the contest the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Auckland Inc (Nisui-Kai).
