JSANZ Tertiary Japanese Language Speech Contest Prize Giving Ceremony・JSANZ 10th Anniversary (2 November 2024)

The prize giving ceremony for the Tertiary Japanese Language Speech Contest organized by Japanese Studies Aotearoa New Zealand (JSANZ) was held on 2 November at the University of Auckland. At the ceremony Consul General MATSUI praised the winners for their efforts in studying Japanese and thanked the teachers who support these students in their Japanese study. The winners also received travel vouchers from the contest’s sponsor, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Auckland Inc (Nisui-kai).
Congratulations to this year’s prize winners, Mr André LEADER (1st), Mr Kerry KANG (2nd), and Ms Imogen DOMBROSKI (3rd). You can see the winning speech from this year and previous years here.
Also the event celebrated the 10th anniversary of JSANZ, which was established in 2014. The members of JSANZ looked back over its 10 years of activities and discussed what they could do for the future. The Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland will continue to support JSANZ.
