Kids Japanese Festival (23 January 2026)

On January 23, the Consulate-General of Japan and the Ellen Melville Centre held the 7th Kids Japanese Festival at the Ellen Melville Centre in central Auckland with help of experts and volunteers.
Many families visited and were introduced to Japanese cultural activities that were fun for all the family, such as Origami, Yo-Yo Balloon scoop game, a bouncy ball scoop game, traditional toys, Yukata dressing, Japanese tea, Calligraphy, Taiko drumming, joint performance of Taiko drumming and Calligraphy and Anime films.
