Takapuna Normal Intermediate School
2017/8/31
The Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland had a great opportunity to join a special event at Takapuna Normal Intermediate School to cerebrate International Language Week.
The school created a “Matsuri” atmosphere during Tuesday lunch time. Students enjoyed different activities such as shodo (Japanese calligraphy), Origami, Yukata Dressing.
We put Japanese food replicas, the real-as-life models that restaurants in Japan use for their window displays. Students enjoyed learning about Japanese food with surprisingly realistic food replicas.
International Language Week was a great experience for students and teachers. Thank you to Takapuna Normal Intermediate School for inviting us to this wonderful event.
