On 1st of August 2010, 36 intrepid participants left for Japan from the Auckland office.
A pre-departure orientation was run by the Auckland JET Alumni Association on the 31st of July, where the new participants received valuable advice. In the evening, Consul-General Mr. Hachiro Ishida hosted a farewell reception at the Rendezvous Hotel and about 68 people attended.
