Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland recently hosted a school group from Birkenhead College (Year 10,11,12,13).

They enjoyed watching DVDs about Japanese traditional culture and pop culture and also Washoku ( Japanese cuisine).
Also they had great fun learning about Japanese table manners including how to use chopsticks and also about Japanese food with surprisingly realistic food replicas. We hope the students gained more deep understanding about Japanese people and Japanese culture through this school visit.
