On Tuesday 19 May 2015, the Consulate-General of Japan in Auckland hosted a school group from Hillcrest High School. (19 students, Year 10).

They enjoyed learning about the scenery and culture in Japan through DVD. Also, they had a lot of fun with the following workshops.
1, Japanese food with surprisingly realistic food replicas.
2, How to wear Yukata (Japanese traditional summer kimono) and Geta ( Japanese traditional footwear).

Thank you for coming over from Hamilton. We hope the students gained deeper understanding about Japanese culture through this school visit.
