Taupo Intermediate School
On Tuesday 22 September 2015, consulate staffs visited Taupo Intermediate School (25 students, Year 8). The students enjoyed learning Japanese culture and basic Japanese words through the DVD and presentation and had a great fun to learn about Japanese food with suprisingly realistic food replicas. Also, they were especially enthusiastic when they got the chance to try on beautiful and colorful yukata (Japanese casual summer kimono), happi (Japanese traditional coat) and geta ( Japanese traditional foot wear). It was a great opportunity to introduce Japanese culture to the students to build interest in Japan and Japanese language. |
