Aikido Shinryukan 56th Anniversary Gasshuku (8 March 2026)

On 8 March 2026, Consul General MATSUI attended Aikido Shinryukan’s 56th Anniversary Gasshuku at Avondale College in Auckland. The event was also attended by Shihan HORII Etsuji and Shihan KUMAZAWA Miyuki from Japan, together with many instructors and practitioners from dojos across New Zealand and the wider Asia–Pacific region.
The Consul General delivered remarks, congratulating Aikido Shinryukan on its 56th anniversary gasshuku and paying tribute to founder Shihan TAKASE Nobuo for his longstanding dedication and passion to Aikido in New Zealand and also invited all the present to convey sincere gratitude to Shihan TAKASE and his wife Barbara for their efforts to keep growing Shinryukan and many followers from diverse communities.
He encouraged all participants in their training for both physical and mental development, and expressed his hope to further strengthen friendly relations between Japan and New Zealand through Aikido Shinryukan’s activities.
